Brilliant weather over the August Bank holiday but two days later and rain for the Wednesday rides. Woody still managed to attract 10 followers for his medium ride as we set off to the morning stop the Windsor Coach Station Cafe. Woody made his now traditional navigation error in Trenches Lane and again played the "I was just checking out the fox hole" excuse card. However, hats off to him for taking the Ditton Park cut through to Upton Court Park that we haven't used for ages to find that the track was quite good. There hadn't been much rain on the way to the morning stop but it was much heavier when we left for the Runnymede Air Forces Memorial where Captain Morgan produced a suitable flag but thankfully no nobby lecture. Flag waved, we headed to the Bells of Ouzley for lunch. Post lunch we decided to dodge an afternoon stop and headed back, losing each other on a regular basis.
Shame about the weather but never the less a good day out.
