Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

FYI, this entry is late due faulty PC, requiring a complete reset. Nevertheless, the weather has been unusual. Warm, winds from the East, and rain. My right knee was a bit sore before the ride. I kept an eye on it. It took about 30 minutes before the soreness subsided (while on the ride). I kept the tempo steady, no heroics. Alpine Forest went well, in my limits and the knee was cooperating. I had a tailwind on the way to SS, so the outbound trip was fast. I bought some provisions at the local mart and then headed out. The return trip was mostly into headwind or cross-head. CVR climb went well. My knee remained in check, but still lingering ever so slightly. I kept reminding myself that the return trip from WS was going to be a treat. When I made it to Highline, I started very modest. I was doing easy tempo up the first mile. Then nice and steady to WS. The return was a welcoming moment. It was a treat. I was able to push above 27MPH on a few occasions. I was doing speedwork. The legs felt good, and the knee was better. Concentration was good, mostly in the zone. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, right knee soreness, right hand numbness. Gear is working well, although, I'm still not convinced the GoPro is charging while on the power bank. More tinkering required. Other notes, I saw 2 other cyclists today.
