An inversion dropped the water temp closer to 12 Celsius overnight, so the swim was cut to 500m and considered optional. I made it about 300m before bailing since I couldn’t feel my hands or feet anymore. You can see the impact on my HR during the first few kms of the bike! Bike course was pan flat for the most part, so TT bikes just ripped it up. I forgot my bottles (reminder for next time), and almost crashed into some guardrails about an hour in, but was able to quickly recover. I did not like the run at all. Grass and gravel, and the grass quickly became slippery in the rain. We were also told that it was a flat course, which wasn’t true. Should have gone with my gut and packed Trail shoes! All in, it was a fine event and gave me a taste of tris beyond the sprint distance. Kingston will be next at the end of July!

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
