Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Yesterday I had the good fortune to have a lovely ride in NYC. This is a
ride that Ron's friend Larry does every fall and he was kind enough to
invite me. We drove up to the Ferry at Weehawken and put our bikes on the
boat and were delivered downtown on about 8 minutes. Easy as catching a
subway.
We walked about 30' outside of the dock building and we were on the bike
path. The bike path took us to the battery park area and to the
Governors Island ferry. Another short ride, we were on the island. This
is an old military base that was converted into a park. They have lots to
see, two historic forts, great views, museums, a police car show, oyster
hatchery and a large outdoor food court.

The actual ride was very easy as it was dead flat and we rolled at an
average of 10 mph.
