So many reasons to be in a bad mood today but there's nothing like the beauty of this park and the fun of the trails to make me feel better. Especially Blue Blossom Trail, So much fun. I just wish there was a better way back up. Like a shuttle. I was surprised that there were still some muddy spots on the trail. Most of the trails were really nice and smooth but the roots and rocks that are exposed seemed even more so now. There were some sections that were much more technical than before and several that I didn't manage to clear. Lots of bugs flying in my eyes and mouth and there were plenty of times when I was blinded by the sun too. And plenty of squirrels darting across the trail right in front of me as well. I still haven't done Steam Donkey and I had planned on doing it but I really didn't feel like climbing back up again and I also wanted to get a burger at Alice's. I booked it over there and got there just before closing and ended up behind the most indecisive couple in the world! I was hoping the person at the register was going to take my order first since I knew what I wanted. Oh and on the way up Skyline, it looked like construction next to the road is underway for what I'm assuming is the new trail extension between Fifield-Cahill Ridge Trail and Purisima Creek Redwoods. Woo!
