Paul Douglas Preserve MTB Ride 5-31-24

Trek Fuel EX 9.8. Mostly sunny, warm (approaching 80) and 5-10 mph Southerly winds with gusts up to 15 mph. A few other riders out, saw 2 deer: a baby spotted fawn and a big old doe, both were right in front of me on the trail.

Good ride, got a late start but had a surprisingly good pace after last nights hard road ride. Limited the ride to 90 minutes and just over 14 miles, all on the West side trails.

The Fuel's rear shock is starting to make noises and Andrew said it's time for service after 4 years. It will be out of commission for a few weeks as we have to send the shock off to Indiana for a rebuild/service.

Lunch and rehydration at the Assembly in Hoffman Estates.

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail).
