So, I got my bike back up and running. So, this was the Teh. Mtn. Park ride take 2.... I felt pretty good from the start, so that was encouraging. I had a distinct plan in my mind and I followed it to the 't'. I made my way out to Highline. Stopped at the street prior to the park entrance. Set my GoPro to 4k. Shortly after, I headed to the entrance and commenced the climb. By this time, I adjusted the rear derailleur two times. This would be the first time I used my 35/32T on this route. I could tell from the start that it was going to be more manageable. About 2 minutes into the climb, the GoPro stopped recording. It showed a "SD Card Failure" message. So, I had no choice but to put it back to 1080p mode. Shortly after, I continued. While making my way up the mountain, I noticed that 2nd gear was skipping. I was reluctant to pull over to adjust it. I used the 1st and 3rd gear in the meantime. At one point, the chain skipped, and I hit my knee on the handle-bar. Nothing major, just some minor pains for a minute or two. I also twisted my back and it became noticeably sore. Nothing to cause a scratched ride. As I had anticipated, the soreness subsided as the ride went on. When I reached the ranger station, I stopped to adjust the rear derailleur and then set the camera to 2.5k mode. From there it was non-stop climbing to the summit. Towards the last few hundred yards, the gradient kicked up to 17+%. I was in 1st gear and tacking. I made it to the summit, near maximum effort. After reaching the summit, I pulled over to recover, hydrate and such. There were some people at the top, so I made my way to a clearing to feed. I swapped out the GoPro battery (as planned) and then headed back down. The GoPro worked for the duration of the descent. It did stop somewhere near OTR. Concentration was real good. I was in the zone. Balance and form felt real good to. Ailments consisted of soreness in the back, on the left side. Subsiding to a near painless state. Gear is working well. First day on the new rear derailleur. After making adjustments, it worked perfect. Perhaps some minor adjustments needed. Other notes, no other cyclists. There were more people in the park than I had anticipated.
