Today was the first time I did an indoor training ride this half of the year. I participated in the Richmond Olympic course. It took a while before I got on the trainer. I was configuring everything. So, as the ride started, I noticed that the trainer wasn’t offering resistance. I was in my biggest gear and pushing 220 Watts, max. So, I decided to ride it out for 30ish minutes and then hopped off Zwift to trouble-shoot. After a while of tinkering, I got it to work. I put in another 15 or so minutes with the configuration working as I wanted. The course was interesting, mostly flat, some risers here and there. I put in a dig for a sprint zone. I think I got around 70th or so… The legs felt good. Towards the last half of the workout, I was sweating. To conclude, I warmed down for a few minutes. Stuff I learned about the trainer… I think the problem I was having, may have been due to the location of the laptop and the ANT transceiver. More investigating needed.
