A great ride, the fourth in a row since the Gran Fondo to Whistler started. The weather threatened rain in the early morning, but gradually improved as the ride went on until we found ourselves crossing the finish line in brilliant sunshine. Apres ride was a much fun as riding it, as I met up with friends at the starting gate, and ended up staying the night with Simon in Whistler. Dinner that night with Gidon and Nadine's family, and brunch at Larry and Marcie's winter cottage in Whistler was quite delightful, and a great finish to one of the most memorable weekend rides I've done.
Note: I forgot to start the Garmin right away, so it didn't begin to record until I was on the causeway going through Stanley Park. I then had continual difficulty getting the cadence sensor to sync because the battery fell out just before I started out of the house. Once I was at the starting gate with well over 4,000 other riders nearby, it was impossible to re-sync the Garmin with so many devices like mine nearby!
