Thirteen Bikin' Brothers went to Rome City, Indiana, to ride a loop on the Fishing Line Trail. Our destination was The Mid-America Windmill Museum in Kendallville. A early 8AM to beat the afternoon heat meeting at Gaff Park in Rome City. Overcast skies and a light wind helped reduce the heat and humidity. Our newest member, Rick, joined us with this being his first time on the trail. We did have a fairly bad incident when Larry lost control on some loose gravel and scraped himself up pretty bad. We fixed him up the best we could and talked him into taking the place as stoker on Ron's e-assist tandem. Stan then rode Larry's back to our vehicles. It's great to have such brotherhood during situations like this. Larry was able to finish the ride without a lot of effort. Thanks, Ron! For some, it was their first time at the Windmill Museum, and as always, the curator welcomed us with open arms! We finished our day with a great lunch at Sylvan Shores Diner in Rome City. Despite the mishap, all agreed that it was another EPIC ride!
Stay safe everyone!
