Sun Valley Tour Day 2 - Lowman to Lower Stanley

Day Two of the Sun Valley Tour. Departed the Sourdough Lodge at 924 am. Cool start with temps in the lower 50s. The first 22 miles consisted of a long, steady climb to Banner Summit (7208 ft). The first 13.5 miles was at a gentle 2-5% grade, but the last 8.5 miles was 5-8%. The next 18.5 miles to the lunch stop, was a long downhill, then several miles through an expansive valley. Nearly all riders (6 of the 7) were at the lunch stop well before the van arrived. I was at least 40 minutes ahead. Gusty, swirling wind made for periods of headwind and tailwind. The final 9 miles to Lower Stanley were extremely fast thanks to a 10-15 mph tailwind. Overnight (2 nights) at the Redwood Cabins.

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
