Left South Acton station with the B riders, but was in the front for a mile or so while the A riders caught up as they waited for someone. They finally passed me on Liberty Road. We were five guys, including Lou with the tattoos, and Forrest who I recognized from the Thursday nite rides, and a girl named Adrian I think and she was very tough. We took turns pulling, about 3 or 4 minutes each. I wasn't the strongest, but kept pace, I finally got dropped going up Stow Road, but one rider waited a little for me and brought me up to the top. Going down Cleaves hill road was not my favorite too many left turns and fast descents, but I kept pace on the flat going to Cisco, and then also led a little in the Cisco area, but finally got dropped as we headed to 111. By then, Lou decided to join the A group which rejoined us, and then on the turn to Eldridge, the guy who waited for me pealed off, and then on Taylor road Adrian peeled off, so it was just me and Forrest riding to the end. He dropped me on Old Harvard Road, but he waited for me again. I was almost at my limit in terms of wind, and my legs were tired, but hamstring and psoas not too bad, thanks to the advil I am sure. Plus I had played tennis all afternoon and had to quit because of some back spasms and stiffness. Beautiful warm day though.
