Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Nice climb. I see a few pictures, did you make a remote on your phone?
Yep, had an old HTC that's been in a drawer so several years. Been trying to figure out some way to use it. Wasn't sure if it would even work, since it had been sitting around uncharged for so log. But, it charged right up. This is perfect! I put infiniMote on it. Set it up for VeloReality and BigRing. Thanks for your input on infiniMote.
I've been trying to convince the guys at VeloReality that they should create an app to do this. They could have the remote on one screen and all of their metrics data on another, kinda like Zwift has. Then we wouldn't have to have the metrics on the video screen. I guess they don't think it's worth the effort...
I get the feeling they are kind of a limited personnel operation, so they have to set priorities and setting up an APP just isn't high on their list. I like the setup with the infiniMote. Although I have a wireless keyboard & mouse sitting next to my indoor setup, the screenshot with the keyboard requires pressing 2 keys simultaneously so the infiniMote setup makes it much easier.
I have a two screen setup with a large HDTV showing the video. With the infiniMote I just toggle between "video only" when I just want the video or to see the metrics & profile but, it would be nice to have the metrics and profile on the second screen and not have to toggle back and forth.
