GNBPR - Squamish to Kelowna Day 1

It was a tough start thanks to Air Canada canceling our flight and pushing our plans back by 14 hours.... Uhhh! With some accommodation changes, little sleep, quickly building our bikes and rushing to the Squamish shuttle pickup location across the city, we caught it JIT! It was a Twisty and bumpy ride to Squamish where we met Tanya and managed to get a late start just in time for the rain which was on and off for the rest of the day. We rode FSR's to Alice lake with a chilly decent then to Fergie's cafe for a warmup before embarking onto the Sea to Sky trail. This trail segment is very scenic with a few grunt spots but always a treat to ride. Thankfully the girls pulled a campsite mutiny and ended up renting a lodge room in Whistler village with a fire place to warm up and dry out for the night.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
