Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Today was bad weather. Just held up enough to do this ride. Rain was predicted. When I got up, the skies were clear. When I got out, the clouds were rolling in. I told myself that, the first sign of rain, I turn around and head back. I forgot to turn on the GPS for the first 5 minutes or so. Some data was lost. I headed down the mountain. Winds were strong, from the North. Somewhat dangerous on the downhill. I was getting bumped around. I ended up making it as far as the 58 bridge. I turned around as it began to sprinkle. Fortunately, no downpour. Felt like I was riding into the mist. I had the full gear on. My legs felt good. I kept the tempo steady. Mostly in the 140BMP HR range. Concentration was good. Balance and form, average. Ailments, none. Gear is working well. Other notes, the train past by the loop as I was descending. I took some photos. No cyclists today.
