Today was a typical October day. The weather was cold and winds from the north. My legs felt ok, but just a tad heavy from having done squats yesterday. I wore 2 base layers, nickers, arms, skull cap. I felt well protected and wasn't cold. There were a few parts, I think around OTR, where I felt a bit warm. I knew it was going to get colder as I went on, so I didn't take any of my gear off. I did pretty good time to the top of Banducci. No heroics, just good tempo. The nickers were just right for this occasions. If I had worn legs, I think t would have been a bit too much. My ailments were minimal, first being my quads, a bit sore from the previous day's exercise, and right lower back. The back soreness wasn't an issue. The quads didn't bother me much, just a bit of enduring the slight amount of pain. Concentration was very good. I was spot on, with few lapses. Leg balance was also good. Today was the first day that I rode the bike after removing the bottom bracket and cleaning it out. My observations were, some repetitive clicking noise. Almost sounded like it was coming from my right shoe. No squeaking noises from below, which is a good sign. The next ride should confirm the noises that I was hearing earlier in the past 10 days or so. Other gear is working great, no problems. The gopro turned off early, not sure why. Cold weather perhaps? Other notes, I saw about 4 or 5 red tail hawks when I was almost to route 202, on the way back. There was also one perched on a tree. Looks like they were out searching for a feast.
