Yesterday, I was thinking of going to SS. I ended up going to Alpine Forest + Tour de Teh (R) ride. The weather was cold, but i think I miss judged it by a fraction. Probably could have gone without the jacket. I was warm in some places. Opening the jacket and jersey solved that problem. I felt good from the start. I made it to the end of OTR in good time. The ascent from Banducci to the summit of the Alpine Forest went well. I felt good in the body and mind. I stopped once to take photos. When I reached the summit of Banducci, I took a few moments, let traffic by and then headed downhill. The trek through the farmlands was mostly moderate tempo. Doing 18MPH average, I'd say. The last climb felt good. Doing good tempo most of the way. There were 2 cyclists on their way down as I was ascending. Probably 2 minutes behind. I didn't know if they were going to return. That gave me incentive. Suffice it to say, they didn't bridge. Likely went another route. From there it was recover and the descent through Route 202, OTR and the usual push over Mariposa. Concentration felt good. No major lapses. Balance and form is good. Ailments none to mention. Gear is working well.
