Another great ride, despite the tailwind on the way out. I forgot to start my gps when I got out until about 3-4 minutes into the ride, so the metrics are a bit skewed. The start of the ride was as expected, an extra boost from the tailwind made it enjoyable to make it to the top of the descent. The descent was a bit of a treat. I was flying and not even trying. I hit 45+mph on the Loop Plateau. I think that's the fastest I've gone in a few months. Probably could have gone faster had I opened up the gas upon entering the plateau. The return trip was as I expected it. Into the headwind and extra difficult. I did good to moderate tempo, with no digs. I had one ailment, my right leg cramping a bit, both of which lasted only a minute. My concentration was so so at best. Fortunately I had pretty good legs today so that lessened the discouragement. My balance was good. I felt comfortable and putting the wattage into the pedals efficiently. Gear is working great, although the front tire was flat when I was getting ready for the ride. I inflated it to see if it would hold the air, which it did. I had no problems in that regard during the ride. Will see how it is tomorrow.
Other notes: The front tire had a slow leak. There appeared to be a small puncture. I just fixed it, this evening.
