Training objective: 3 hours at very hard tempo with a lot of hills and the cadence between 65-75 rpm's, and the last 45 minutes as hard as possible.
Wow, the new Specialized Power Saddle is just what the doctor ordered - super comfortable! And I really like the lower, flat bars - way more aero and a lot more control, especially on corners at the bottom of fast descents.
Kept to the target cadence, except when I was on the flats when I hit much higher RPM's, as well as the descents, of course. Pushed hard the whole way - I was aiming to do the Great Brak-Brandwag-Ruiterbos-Great Brak loop in 3 hours. Put the pedal down for the last 45 minutes, but I was already working pretty hard, so there wasn't a lot of headroom - mind you, the prevailing onshore wind added a bit extra to that part of the workout. 😁
Had my 900 ml bidon with me, but could have used another 500 ml or so as I ran dry with about an hour to go. I might stick one in my back pocket next time, as there's only room for one bottle cage on the Giant frame.
Rest day tomorrow, then a short coffee ride on Friday.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
