Training objective: 60 min recovery ride - cadence at 90 rpm and heart rate between 120-130 bpm
Got the bike back in time, so didn't have to use the stationary bike at the gym.
Took a while to get into it and not push too hard. Cadence was fine, but the heart rate was over 130 - obviously I needed to slip it into an easier gear and take it easier. Hard to not push - it's a mental thing. Finally made peace with it (!), and thought the last 2/3's of the ride were right on the mark - I watch my Garmin display like a hawk (as usual) - I was going pretty fast near the 60-minute mark, but the heart rate wasn't moving above 126. Now I get home and load the ride and I see it was 150-160 bpm (which is closer to what it felt like, actually). Something is wonky. Maybe I have to replace the battery on the heart rate monitor, too...
P.S. Replaced the battery but figured out what the problem was - I had "lap h/r" on my data screen which turns out is the avg h/r for the lap, which explains why it was barely moving even when I was pedalling harder at the end of the ride. I've changed it to plain old "h/r" now....

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
