Blue Sky Hill Challenge: the event

I'm glad I did the practice ride on Thursday because I knew the curves and hills which somehow made it seem easier today. But, we started at 7,000 ft today and went to 14,130 ft. It was cooler today and at the top it was freezing cold and windy. But, no rain, no hail, so that was good even though it was predicted. The mountain has its own weather! The ride down was really windy and bumpy, but still fun. The road is terrible and it will be closed in 2025 for an overhaul, but I'm still glad that I got to do it this year (gravel bike helps soften the bumps).. Doing this ride and the Triple Bypass qualified me for "Grand slam", so I got 2 more jerseys: one for this ride and one for the Grand slam. so overall my trip to CO got me 3 new jerseys too.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
