Geneva-Wheaton PP Fat Bike Ride 7-23-24

Trek Farley 9.6. Mostly sunny, warm and somewhat humid, stiff SW/WSW winds @ 10+ mph. Combination of limestone (62%) and paved trails on the Prairie Path, Geneva Spur, Aurora & Batavia Spurs and the FRT. A long ride for the fat bike and tough going from Wheaton with a headwind/crosswind most of the way back to Geneva. Trails were dry and dusty. No critters spotted but a lot of wildflowers.

I saw a couple of dozen other riders and multiple e-bikes, plenty of trail walkers and runners too. My legs felt pretty tired after 3 days of pretty hard rides and I'm still getting my strength back after too much time off during our Pacific NW trip.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
