Hadn't done this route for awhile. Ride starts at Fields Bridge park in West Linn. However, there is major construction along a stretch just before to just after the park. The main park entrance is closed, so have to enter at the new round-about just before the Dollar St. bridge. The first 13 miles is a good warm-up, with about 750 total climbing. No long hills, but a lot of short rollers. The main loop part starts at mile 10.7. A few long rollers on Wilsonville Rd to Highway 219, on the outskirts of Newberg (mile 22). First stop at the a Grange off N. Springbrook Rd in Newberg. Needed a short break before the major climbs. Continue on Springbrook across 99W. The first climb begins about a mile after crossing 99W. This climb (close to a mile) is steep, with a 16% max grade. Enjoy some downhill on Bell Rd to the Highway 219 junction. Then it's on to the Chehalem Mtn. climb. This climb is 3.1 mile climb, most at 5-7% grade and 760 ft elevation gain. The Chehalem Summit is 1272 ft. By now the total climbing is close to 2400 feet. Finally, a lengthy descent into Scholls, then a short, flat stretch to Scholls-Sherwood Rd (mile 36). Scholls-Sherwood Rd is a 6-mile stretch with a few short hills. More construction on SW Elwert, just before the Edy intersection (one-lane road). Another short hill just before the new High School and 99W. Next stop is Woodhaven City Park (mile 43). Another short, steep hill before hitting the turn for Baker Rd. This road has 3 more short, steep climbs before finally reaching Westfall Rd. A nice downhill on Westfall Rd comes out at Tooze Rd, then Graham's Ferry shortly thereafter. The final 10.7 miles is the same as the first 10.7 miles.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
