The route this year is the usual trek out to and over the Malverns to Flowerdew's cafe in Bromyard for breakfast, please note they have a stamp for you brevetments card. You then head south to the Royal Forest of Dean. The route is now slightly different from Mitcheldean. You climb out of Mitcheldean over The Stenders, through Drybrook, Ruardean, Joys Green, Lower Lydbrook and to you lunch time stop at Hopewell Colliery Cafe. This is because the previous stop as Lower Soudley has ceased to trade in it's former way. The good news is the team that ran the Soudley cafe now run the Cafe at Hopewell Colliery, again Kay has a stamp for you to stamp your brevet card. The route then makes its way through Cannot to Parkend, where you return to the original route. The ride ambles down to Chepstow, you then cross the old Severn bridge and return to Tewkesbury via the Severn Vale. There is a control at The Stables Cafe at Saul, they do have a loyalty card stamp.
