Over cast until late morning, no wind, plenty warm. This is from the Cushman Rambler route. I didn’t ride on Prices Lake road. Because it was gated closed. Up to the turn onto FSR 2441, the route was well suited to my gravel bike and road shoes, but veryy shortly it became a sufferfest. I had the wrong tires to get over the alternately loose and rocky untraveled road, and the wrongheaded shoes to push and pull the bike up and down. I met no other riders or vehicles until I turned onto the gravel road again, and was relieved to know it was downhill from there, but the road was one big washboard with the occasional crater. FSR 24 was no better. Ride w/GPS shows me stoped for more than two hours, but I think that includes all of the very slow slogging I had to do. Nevertheless, it was a spectacular ride.
