Thought I’d try Island Lake State Park since temperature was 40F, sunny and calm. Some snow and ice under I-96 overpass and big patches on the hill going up to ILSP. Had to dismount and push twice. Unfortunately the connector into the parking lot and roadway had not been cleared and had some fairly hard and heavy globs about 10 inches high. Lacking a portal shovel I did a U-turn and headed back to Kensington. Didn’t have to push since I was going downhill through the muck this time. Went on around Kensington and skipped the route up to Milford since the entrance to that path was pretty mucked up. Slow prowl along Larkins to avoid the pot holes... Also seemed to have never connected to my HRM. Might be time to change the battery...
