Seelow was our first goal for coffee etc. but was a big disappointment because despite being a nice big town with four or five modern supermarkets, neither of the two cafes were open (although according to Google maps there were). Good tip about the supermarket stop, as it was air-conditioned in a hot day.
The last 20 km or so from Neuhardenberg (or a bit later ). we're very good. Upscale hotel /restaurant/cafe in Neuhardenberg offered a good break. The castle also has an exhibit (which also has good bathrooms before you have to pay ) for 3 Euros highlighting the history related to the Prussian times as well as the role of Mr Hardenberg in the resistance against Hitler. Direct train connection every 30 minutes or so from Fürstenwalde to Berlin/Potsdam.
