Starting in Keswick you will first ride alongside Derwent Water to take on Honister Pass from the eastern side, descend down to Buttermere & further along undulating valley roads to Lorton where the grinding climb of Whinlatter awaits you. For those looking to avoid any tough climbing, there are two quite lengthy routes between the climbs that will get you a real feel for this part of the Lake District in England. This ride can be extended with a stage two that returns to Buttermere via the tough yet incredibly scenic Newlands Pass & then takes on the steeper exposed north western side of Honister Pass to return in Keswick.
