I cycled here to get a look at a pre-made plastic pond , about 700deep but really smaller than the one I really want. There is another one from some other crowd but this is just simply a tank but it is over 1000mm deep and entails a lot more digging which I am not prepared to do. (I must admit I an=m over 70years ald - its terrible). But the thing I will remember about this journey is that some motorist beeped his horn just outside Sisks about . I ignored it . However when I arrived in Newlands I noticed that my pannier was missing - it had fallen off the bike . I presume that is what the driver was blasting his horn at . Jesus . So I checked there on the way back home but no Joy . I also went there the next day by car and checked the stretch again but still no Joy . The thing was not only did I lose the pannier but also the lock and chain, so that about €100 +.
