Kaneville-Newark South Road Ride 8-22-24

D'Emonda. Sunny, cool - low 50's at the start, up to low 70's by the finish, mild Southerly winds, 2-6 mph, gusts up to 12 mph. Lots of variable climbing, in and out of the Fox River Valley. I saw only a couple of other riders out.

A gorgeous day and an early start - 7:45 am from the KCCC. I finished well before Noon, with only one real stop at the BP in Newark for water and a bite of food. A really nice ride with some hard efforts and on some roads not traveled lately.

Popped over to South Moon BBQ after the ride for a light lunch (BBQ Sunday), a bit of rehydration and picked up a to go order for dinner tonight at home.

PS: They've screwed up Big Rock - added in 3 totally unnecessary stop signs on Rhodes Ave. This is one of the lowest traffic roads in Kane County.
