Joined by Roland, Malcolm and Tom. Mostly dry and fine, the route was planned to ttry some new cycle ways. We encountered a flooded underpass at 28.9, Roland and Tom went first and were almost clear. I was following behind and noticed the centre white line to my left so i moved across to ride along it. Alas it marked the left edge of the path not the centre, my wheel dropped off the edge of the path into deeper water and a hidden rutted surface. I tried to correct but my toe overlap fouled the front wheel and in an instant I was on the deck in 6" of muddy water.
Malcolm was following closely adhering to the principle of where the guy in front was riding was a good place to be. Unable to avoid me he fell to the opposite side into 9" of water.
No damage or injury sustained we continued to the intended destination to dry out and feast on baked beans on toast and cake while the very obliging young lady at Nets Coffee Shop took our sodden socks and dried them in their tumble dryer. The cafe has been open since July, their wholesome food and very reasonable prices should make them a top destination and a good alternative to Two Mills or Burton Manor cafe's which are just 4 and 1 miles away respectively.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
