Seven. Mostly sunny, cooler temps with strong Northerly winds making for a very comfortable ride. Tons of riders and hikers out, especially towards the end. Early start from the house at around 7:50 am. No stops except at the 1/2 way point for water at the Casey's in Crystal Lake and to switch the camera batteries. Really a gorgeous riding day. Winds were @ 10-12 mph with gusts over 20 mph during ride time, a bit much for the distance I was doing, at least solo out on the open roads. Even felt it on the Fox River Trail, especially on some of the flats before Dundee and again after Algonquin. The ride home was mostly downhill and was very enjoyable. I did stop at Penrose for a couple a pops before finishing the last 1-1/2 miles of the ride. I'm always surprised at how much climbing there is on the FRT, but it is uphill for most of the trip North and going in and out of the Fox River Valley. Good pace for a trail ride.
