With the weather forecast yet again predicting bad weather, this morning's medium ride leader TC only attracted three Loiterers, the rest electing to support Steve Cakes "because it's his first ride as a leader". Liars ! It was because it was the short ride and the weather was going to be bad !
We headed off to Black Park for coffee via Chandlers Hill and Pinewood - no rain but a bit gusty. Refreshed, we made our way to the Palmer Arms in Dorney Village via Stoke Poges, and round the outside of Burnham Beeches. As we got to Burnham Village the skies opened up and by the time we reached our stop we were somewhat wet.
After lunch we decided to dodge an afternoon tea stop and just head home which we did in the driving rain, crossing Dorney Common, down Eton Wick Road to join the Slough Road before cutting along a very swollen Jubilee River. Then through Upton Park, the static home site and Langley Park Road to Iver. Annoyingly, the sun made a belated appearance just before I foolishly followed Captain Morgan and Jim along the canal to Uxbridge - resulting in me arriving home covered in mud from head to foot.
How Mrs Puffing laughed as she refused me entry into the house, describing me as a wet muddy rat (could have been prat, I'm not sure, I had mud in my ears)

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
