I woke up today with Keene in mind. I did my routine and took a nap. After getting up. I wasn't feeling so "keen" on doing Keene. It took about 10 minutes before I came to. I looked outside the window and thought, "what a shame to let a day like this get away". So, I thought no more. The weather was great. I'd say in the upper 70's, low 80's. I was thinking of doing Keene + Alpine Forest. (A climber's day). I got my provisions and headed out. I put an extra bottle in the mail locker and headed to Keene. My mind was somewhat wandering, I felt a bit impatient reaching the base of the climb. Once there, I headed back. The legs felt good. I told myself to put whatever you want into the climb and see how the body responds later. I did good time. Doing in and out of the saddle efforts. After reaching the summit, I headed to the mail locker. I refilled bottles and headed to the Alpine Forest. The legs felt good. The Banducci wall was an effort, reaching near maximum at the summit. The Alpine Forest went real good. No ailments. I just had to stay within myself. I was getting hungry by this point. I was guzzling my Cytomax to keep the stomach filled. I made my way to Banducci. Once there, I took a few moments rest and fed a power bar. The stomach handled it well. From there, it was the trip back, mostly downhill. Concentration was about average. Somewhat hurried in the first half and having to stave of wandering thoughts. Balance and form felt good. Not great. Ailments were next to none, likely the greater of things. Gear is working great. Other notes, I saw 5 other cyclists and possibly one of which was a pro/weekend warrior.
