Bike 42 miles of rollercoaster hills to bluffs on the Mississippi River and back along the Trimbelle River. Pack a lunch and meet at 9:30 am on TBD, at Forestville Vines Winery in River Falls, WI. Take I-94 east to Wisconsin, then exit #3 on Hwy 35 south to River Falls. Take Hwy 65 five miles further south (towards Ellsworth) to the old Forestville school in Beldenville. Relax outdoors at the 1897 school with wine, beer, and pizza after the ride. A shortcut eliminating the final 200-foot climb makes this a 37-mile ride.
Only 40 cars (& 5 motorcycles) passed us in 3 hours cycling on these Wisconsin back roads (on Sunday, June 8). That is not counting an additional 47 cars that passed us on the short stretches we cycled on Highways 35 and 65.
