Today was a nice day to go for a ride. Although it was a bit on the windy side. The winds were from the south. It was just cool enough to wear arms, legs and 1 base layer. I was comfortable in the entire ride. My legs felt average going out the door and felt better as the ride progressed. I was sufficiently warmed up by the time I reached the end of OTR. I has a strong headwind on the way out, so I put it into moderate tempo for the entire outbound leg. As I turned around, I was warmed up and did the return leg in good tempo. I felt pretty strong with no ailments to hold me back. Other than the usual burning of the leg muscles. I did have a soreness on my left knee that lasted a minute or two, and that was on the way out. My concentration was 2x as good as the previous ride. Balance was good, but I was getting knocked around from the wind, so I could keep it in perfect balance for only minutes at a time. I think the lesser part of the ride was the bike. I'm noticing that the chain is slipping more than the previous rides. It seems to occur the most when I'm in the big ring, little cassette and pushing hard. Also, going over rough terrain while pushing hard on the pedals.
