Start in downtown Snoqualmie Falls - ample safe parking for the day. Hop on Snoqualmie Valley Trail for a nice flat first 5 miles.
Middle Fork Road is beautiful, paved - occasional cars, narrow. A steady low grade climb. River runs beside for most of ride.
At end of MF road, take the gravel road to Goldmyer Hot Springs. It is stunning beautiful while gnarly as hell. Very rocky, lots of deep puddles after rains earlier this week (early November), stream crossings, 1200 feet of climbing (and then coming down with all same obstacles) - under a blue sky day with temperatures that hovered between 33 and 40 degrees F. Gravel bike worked, would not try on a road bike. Some steep climbs (high single digit grade), mostly steady low grade climbing though.
Goldmyer is private tea and a caretaker lives there. Only 20 people are allowed in per day. Most visitors hike in and out, some bike. Next time I willl try to reserve a spot and bring a towel to enjoy.
