2024/11/18 Beechworth - single track to Yack' - rail trail return

An exhilarating, very tiring ride on a mostly down hill single track through the forest to Yackandandah. Rated as an intermediate mountain bike trail. My Vivente touring bike coped well. It was a ride I put together the night before when I realised the SARCC downloaded ride did not follow the heat map and used a lot of fire tracks.
After 5 km we realised we were going the wrong way on what is a prepared one-way mountain bike trail. So we bailed out on to a fire track (these are straight but with really steep gradients) and cut across to where we should have been. RWGPS does not mark one way single track trails.
After a break in Yackandandah we returned the easy way up a gentle rail trail.

How come there was seemingly only three of you? Been nice to have a photo of the seat and not just the plaque.

The rest chickened out. It Was just an ordinary seat.

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
