Easy Carvins

Revisiting Carvin's Cove. This time around, instead of riding the trails on Brushy Mountain, I opted for the lower elevation ribbons along the north-western side of Carvin's Cove Road. Given my recent "lack of" fitness it was the perfect choice.

The relative easy elevation gain makes this ride a perfect introduction to what Carvin's has to offer, without the brutality of Hi Dee Hoe and some of the other steep and technical trails in the area.

I'm looking forward to revisiting this loop, especially as the Blue Ridge Off-Road Cyclists extend Rock and Roll, an amazing corridor on the high side of Happy Valley Road.

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
