The weather has cooled down. Perfect riding weather. My back is doing better, but not yet fully healed. I was able to push as much as I needed without the hindrance from the lower back soreness. The legs felt pretty good from the start. I was fully warmed up by the end of OTR. The Banducci wall felt quite like the effort. I was coaching myself. Just trying to keep concentrated. Mostly thinking about the summit, being that it was near. After making the summit. I took a few moments rest and then headed downhill to SS. There were some gremlins on the way down. "Wind talkers". It lingered for just a few minutes. Nothing detracting from my concentration. The trek to SS went quick. I was riding into the wind, but it wasn't too significant. After reaching SS, I pulled over to play other songs on my walkman. I then headed into town. Practicing my tuck. I reached the tunnel in about 1:01 hours. The return through the farmlands went quick. I was in and out of there in no time. I reached Boss Hogs in about 1:21 and change. So, I didn't loose much time. The last climb felt good. No sings of muscle or knee soreness. I was able to put whatever I could into the pedals. No serious failure points today. The remainder was recovery on the false flats. Route 202 was a bit dangerous. More traffic than normal. OTR was fun. I pushed over Mariposa. Mostly out of the saddle. Neary max over the top. The rest was the cruise to home. Concentration was good for the most part. Some gremlins here and there. Balance and form felt good. The cleat position definitely felt better. I'm making progress in that regard. Ailments are next to none, other than the lower back soreness that wasn't a factor on the bike. Gear worked flawless. Other notes, one other cyclist today as I was returning on OTR.
