End of year spinner. I couldn't decide which direction to go, so I went several directions!

Many directions, is how my year went. I visited 6 countries & 9 states. Cycled over 5000 miles with about 290,000 ft of climbing. Hiked over 100 miles. Used up 2 front tires, 6 rear tires and 3 chains. I wore out my hiking shoes too! This is a good start to retirement! But I'm not doing it to gain miles, I'm spending time stopping and taking alternate routes, getting lost, meeting new people, and taking lots of photos. What a wonderful year! Today was really special as the sunset was yellow/orange on the Vegas sky and pink/red on the Boulder City side, with incredibly rich dark blue sky in between! I'm truly blessed and I hope I can continue like this for many years.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
