It's getting warmer. The legs felt a bit sluggish from the start, today. The warmup phase took a while. I really didn't feel good till after I made it over the Banducci wall. I was near red-line when I reached the summit. I took a few moments rest and then headed down. With the worst part behind me, I was a bit better in the morale. The downhill was fun. Practicing my tuck. The wind was going east, so I had the usual headwind on the way out to SS. I kept the tempo steady, all the while keeping an eye on traffic. I soft pedaled for a few moments after reaching the front entrance to SS, then headed to the summit. The downhill was fun, again, practicing my tuck. I reached the tunnel in under 1:02+ Hours. I zipped through town and headed back. I felt better balance today. I was doing mostly 18+ MPH through the farmlands. Reaching Boss Hogs in about 1:23 Hrs. That means, I lost about 30 seconds since I reached SS. Not too bad. The last climb felt good. No heroics, but a nice tempo. I recovered and then headed back. Route 202 had minimal traffic, so no problems there. OTR on the return was fun. Concentration felt good today. Some lapses, but nothing too detracting. No gremlins, either. Balance and form felt better. I was able to determine that, when I am climbing, and the road is off camber, that plays a great deal to why I lean to one side. Ailments consisted of some right hip soreness, maybe lower back soreness, but mild. Gear is working well. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
