Fuel EX 9.8. Cloudy and cold at the start but the sun came out during the last 45 minutes or so. Temps around 20 at Palos, warming up over 25 when the sun came out. No winds noticeable in the woods. Palos also got a lot more snow than in Geneva - there was at least 3-4 inches of packed crunch plus the 2 or so inches of powder overnight. Pleasant but slow trail conditions, no traction issues on the Fuel. I rolled out right after 8:00 am and was the first one in the lot and on most of the trails, although I saw a few other tire tracks later on. No other riders spotted until I was packed up and about to depart. The appearance of the sun caused me to cut about 5 miles off the ride as thaw was starting. No issues as it was a harder ride and at a painfully slow pace with the extra snow. Stopped for lunch at Pub 56 in Aurora on the way home.
