Russell Ride Day 7

From Benbow KOA Campground to Cloverdale Mendocino. First of all, this should be a two-day ride, but I had to make it in one as I took the slow route through the Redwoods yesterday. It is 2 hours to Leggitt from the campground. and then the long slog on Route 1 begins. Warning-Route 1 to Watertown is almost impassable due to road conditions, collapsed roadways, etc. I gladly accepted a ride to Fort Briggs. From there, I rode the iconic Route 1 to the Route 128 turn off, which may have been the best ride of the entire trip. Before I reached my destination of Cloverdale, temperatures reached 105 and I ran out of water on a climb. As I was walking up this grade some kindly folks offered to give me a lift. So, with that, the last few miles were over to the Vineyard Inn. I forgot to stop my GPS, hence the inaccurate rate of speed.
