Not as much gravel as I thought on this ride (only three sectors toward the latter stages), hence the Roubaix title. I rode it on my 32c road tires and had no issues, though taking the downhill on Pine Grove I needed to go slow. Definitely a route to try in reverse too. There were some beautiful roads that were either new or I'd forgotten--Little Cola and Clapper Hollow were both highlights. Of course there were some adventures: Krafter road doesn't exist at southern end, so I had to take 180 to get west. Then I missed a turn later due to having to detour yet again since Trillium Way was marked as a private road.
Got up early to try and beat the heat and it didn't really work. Garmin was reading 92 when I finished around noon. This made for a hard ride. Still lots of work to do for Pelotonia, but I was proud of myself for getting out and not taking any shortcuts with the route. I actually felt a bit better on the last climb up to the car, and even went past the car to where the road ends.
Random: had a pig run out in front of me!
