Sicily - Etna, Linguaglossa

This ride was filmed a few days after the 2020 Giro visited here and you can still spot plenty of fresh paint on the road from the fans! We start just outside the ancient town of Linguaglossa at about 400m above the sea level. Some volcanic brick roads here in the town may add some spice to the challenge if you are on a Tacx NEO. The main bulk of the climb is fairly steady, with interspaced flatter sections to catch your breath. Once you break out of the pine forest into the lava fields at about 17km into the ride, you pull off the main road onto the steeper final section that starts very hard but eases off after about a kilometer.
