Burrito handwarmer pc - Natalie Telis
Natalie wanted to check out the new Voyager Craft Coffee on the Stanford Campus. It was much colder and foggier today than I was expecting.
It was also Natalie's friend Julia's first time riding with us!
On the way to Portola Valley, at Manzanita, there was a guy with a flat rear tire. I asked him if he was okay, if he needed help and he didn't have tire irons to remove his tire so we stopped. He had a tube though so not sure why he didn't have the tools to install them. He did say it had been a while since he'd gotten a flat. He was also stopped in a dangerous spot right at the corner, which is blind for anyone turning onto Manzanita from Sand Hill Rd., so I made sure to stand where cars could see us.
His tires were really hard to get on and off. None of my tires are that tight. All of us fumbled with them and finally got it off. Then I watched as he attempted to put the tire back on and immediately after he put the bead on, it came right off again. He circled around and around several times before I intervened.
I think we spent about 15 min. with him and when he started to pump his tire, then we headed on our way.
The day started off overcast but around Westridge, it got foggy and stayed that way most of the way back to Stanford. Even after the fog lifted, we were getting misted. For me it didn't stop until the sun came out about halfway home.
Natalie was raving about Voyager's destination coffees and from their descriptions, they did look like they could be good. I had to try it. As a none coffee drinker, I thought they were pretty good. Not the best coffee I've ever had but certainly coffee I would drink again.
It still tasted a little bitter. The vanilla and brown sugar was able to mask most of it. It was also still a bit sour. The most important thing is there was no terrible coffee after taste left in my mouth.
