Rutland State Park start from Mid-State Trail parking lot on Rt 122, to top of 1st hump of "roller coaster" trail, out & back. Passed group of 4 mtn bikers on return leg, also 3 hikers with their trail-leading dog. Unseasonably cold for a change (before yesterday, Boston had 45 days in a row with above normal average temp for the day, due mostly to warm overnight lows) ; today, about 10 degrees F below normal, but the winds (which had died down from yesterday's gusty Northerlies ) are not a factor in the woods anyway on the singletrack trails, and that late March sun sure felt good ! Sunny, 39 F. Tried out a new Bell downhill helmet for the first time today (also the first time I've ever used one... int he past always used my road helmet), and those new Shimano resin M08 brake pads installed earlier this month performed nicely.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Had Garmin GPS Edge 305 in my jersey back pocket... prob. the reason for the H/R data dropouts to zero... will install the 2nd handlebar mount supplied w/ the Edge 305 one of these days.
Glitch in data stream at ~ mile 3.2, jump-back to ~mile 2.5, so about 1.3 mile segment added which never occurred ! Lap button was being activated inadvertently while Edge 305 unit was in my jersey back pocket and no doubt is responsible for this data logging error.
