Farley 9.6. Sunny and bright with high clouds, a bit cooler than yesterday, with a high of 48 degrees, NE winds @ 8-10 mph with gusts up to 16 mph, still a comfortable and almost Spring-like day. Dressed in a light long sleeve jersey with a poly SS base layer and full finger MTB gloves. There were stretches of stout cold winds so I also wore a light headband to cover the ears, all in all dressed comfortably.
First time riding here in quite while and traffic is low during the week. No other bikers out but did see a few hikers. I rode down a few side trails and it looks like there's more out there but they are pretty much unmarked. Some trees down and I doubt they ever get cleared from the looks of it. I was unable to ride the SW section down to the McHenry Dam on the Fox River, due to the prescribed burns on the prairie sections.
Nice ride, not too long, 8th day in a row riding. I stopped at The Public House (Now owned by the Geneva Ale House - same menu) for a couple of pops of cider then headed home.
