Little did I realise, as I pushed my Specialized e-bike through the throng exiting Uxbridge station, that this would be the last time I would be able to make this journey. OK guys all my rides now start at Daisy's in the Park! Now my mate Alan has been urging me for ages to upgrade my Brompton -should I take the plunge and electrify it? And if I do using a third party kit is it still legal? Only the lawyers can tell. I digress, exiting Uxbridge station I picked up a couple of loiterers and headed off to Ickenham where the bulk of the medium riders were waiting for a jaunt to the Fox at Hanwell. In the end we had a dozen riders. Most decided to sit outside the Imperial cafe in Rayners Lane. Not surprising as the inside chairs are screwed down like a prison waiting room. On to the Fox at Hanwell for lunch and tea at Estrella do Norte. Nice ride, nice company, nice day (apart from the news about electric bikes on the tube).
